Guiding Center 4d Small Tokamak Barely Passing with Gauss-Legendre Runge-Kutta Methods

The same orbit family as on the medium-size tokamak, in the small tokamak equilibrium in cylindrical coordinates. Its particles are far slower — u ~ 8 \cdot 10^{-4} against the medium tokamak's 3 \cdot 10^{-1} — so the orbit needs a time step three hundred times larger, \Delta t = 800, which is the one the pre-0.2 gallery used for it. Over the 12500 steps run here the orbit closes many hundreds of times.

The toroidal momentum is shown alongside the energy, as the second invariant of the guiding centre dynamics; both are set in src/guiding-center-4d.jl.
